Mawlavi Ataullah Omari, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with Chirag Paswan, India’s Minister of Food Processing Industries, during his official visit to India to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in agricultural processing.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, the two sides discussed ways to enhance the value of agricultural products, develop food processing infrastructure, facilitate technology transfer, increase technical capacity, and expand trade cooperation between Afghanistan and India.
The ministry added that the meeting also emphasized strengthening joint cooperation to enhance food security, improve livelihoods, and further expand economic cooperation for the mutual benefit of both countries.
