According to China’s customs statistics, the country exported more than 10.377 million robots to markets around the world during the first five months of this year, with a total value of nearly 20 billion yuan. The report states that Chinese-made robots are now exported to more than 150 countries and regions, with the European Union and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) serving as key markets. Data show that cleaning robots account for the largest share of exports, valued at 14 billion yuan, representing more than 70 percent of China’s total robot exports. During the same period, China also exported around 70,000 industrial robots, which are used in transportation, infrastructure projects, welding, and various industrial sectors.
