My recent visit to Chongqing, one of China’s most fascinating and breathtaking cities, was an unforgettable experience. Known as the “Mountain City,” Chongqing is a unique blend of rich history, stunning landscapes, modern architecture, and cutting-edge technology. Surrounded by majestic hills and crossed by mighty rivers, the city offers a spectacular view that leaves every visitor inspired.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the China Media Group (CMG), whose hospitality and professionalism made our stay exceptionally comfortable and enjoyable. Their dedication to creating a meaningful and well-organized program reflected the true spirit of Chinese friendship and cultural exchange.
Participating in the 5th CMG Forum
One of the highlights of the trip was attending the 5th CMG Forum on Media Innovation, held under the theme “Upholding and Reshaping: The Media’s Mission in the Intelligent Era.” The forum brought together media leaders, journalists, and communication experts from around the world to discuss the future of journalism, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and international cooperation.
The discussions were insightful and inspiring, emphasizing the importance of responsible journalism, technological innovation, and building stronger connections among nations through media. It was a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from global experiences.
Exploring Smart Governance and Digital Innovation
Our delegation also visited the Shapingba District Digital City Operation and Governance Center, where we witnessed how advanced technologies are transforming urban management. Through artificial intelligence, big data, and smart monitoring systems, the city efficiently manages transportation, public services, emergency responses, and civic administration.
The visit provided a remarkable glimpse into how modern technology can improve the quality of life for citizens and contribute to more efficient governance.
Visit to Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park
Another impressive experience was our visit to the Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park, one of China’s most important transportation and trade centers. The scale of the facility, its advanced logistics systems, and its strategic role in connecting China with international markets demonstrated the country’s commitment to economic development and global connectivity.
Observing the seamless movement of goods and the sophisticated infrastructure was truly fascinating and offered valuable insights into modern logistics and international trade.
Hospitality, Culture, and Lasting Impressions
Throughout the journey, we enjoyed outstanding hospitality at Yuzhou Hotel, experienced delicious Chinese cuisine, and engaged with friendly and welcoming hosts. Every activity was carefully organized, creating an atmosphere of respect, learning, and cultural appreciation.
Beyond the official program, Chongqing itself captivated us with its vibrant cityscape, spectacular bridges, impressive skyline, and unique mountainous terrain. The city perfectly combines tradition with innovation, offering visitors a glimpse into both China’s rich heritage and its ambitious future.
A Spectacular Drone Show
One of the most memorable moments of the trip was the breathtaking drone performance. Hundreds of synchronized drones illuminated the night sky, creating stunning visual displays through light, movement, and artistic formations. The show was a remarkable demonstration of technological creativity and left the audience amazed.
Against the backdrop of Chongqing’s dazzling skyline, the drone display became an unforgettable symbol of innovation, imagination, and progress.

Chongqing is more than just a city—it is a living example of how history, culture, nature, and technology can coexist in harmony. Its magnificent scenery, modern achievements, and warm-hearted people make it one of the most remarkable destinations in China.
