The Pul-e-Khumri Power Pole Factory provides 65% of the country’s electricity transmission development needs and 95% of its rehabilitation requirements.
Mawlavi Naqibullah Nazari, Head of the Pul-e-Khumri Power Pole Factory, told Bakhtar News Agency that 2,000 power poles of various sizes have been produced at the factory since the beginning of the current year.
According to him, the factory produces 30 electricity poles daily in 9-, 10-, and 12-meter standard sizes, as well as 12-meter reinforced and 15-meter types, all of high quality.
He added that 50 workers are employed in two shifts at the factory, noting that the strength and quality of the poles are tested using a specialized laboratory machine that has recently been put into operation.
