Qari Gul Haider Shafaq, the Governor of Bamyan, has reviewed the extraction process at the province’s decorative travertine stone mine, located in the provincial center.
According to Bakhtar News Agency, officials from the Bamyan Department of Mines and Petroleum and the operating company briefed the governor on the mining procedures during the inspection.
Governor Shafaq stressed the importance of adhering to technical principles, professional standards, and the procedures set by the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum. He also provided key recommendations to enhance the extraction process and ensure the effective utilization of mineral resources.
Notably, the travertine mine is situated in the Pitab Laghman mountain area in the center of Bamyan province. This decorative stone is widely used in interior design, building facades, commercial markets, and construction projects.
