According to Reuters, operations at Russia’s Perm oil refinery have completely stopped following a Ukrainian drone attack on May 7. Two industry sources told Reuters that the attack caused a fire and damaged key equipment. Perm region governor Dmitry Makhonin said Ukrainian drones targeted industrial facilities in the region, located about 1,460 kilometers east of Moscow, but did not name the facility. Ukraine has previously targeted Russia’s oil infrastructure to weaken Moscow’s financial resources and military capabilities.
