The Ministry of Public Works has announced that during the past week, 91,373 tons of goods were transported through the country’s railway lines.
According to the ministry’s statistics, these shipments passed through the ports of Hairatan, Aqina, Torghundi, and the Khaf–Herat railway line, consisting mostly of petroleum products, non-petroleum goods, and other commercial items.
During this period, 356 tons of commercial goods were also exported abroad, mainly dried fruits and copper.
The Ministry of Public Works stated that the increase in railway transport not only contributes to export growth but also plays an important role in creating job opportunities, boosting national revenue, and moving toward economic self-sufficiency.
