Nooruddin Azizi, the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, held a significant meeting with Roza Otunbayeva, the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA).
According to a statement from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the meeting addressed crucial topics, including the development of industrial parks, the establishment of a dedicated business center, and the creation of an online trade platform.
Otunbayeva highlighted the progress made by a private sector working group during recent discussions in Doha, commending the Ministry’s efforts. She congratulated Azizi and his team on the success of the recent investment call conference and proposed organizing similar initiatives in Afghanistan’s five zones to further stimulate economic activity.
This meeting underscores a mutual commitment to enhancing cooperation for economic development and strengthening support for Afghanistan’s private sector, paving the way for a more resilient and prosperous future.
