The Martyrdom of Haqqani Provoked Numerous Domestic and International Reactions

The martyrdom of Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani, Acting Minister of Refugees and Repatriation, has sparked widespread domestic and international reactions. The UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the European Union, UNAMA, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, former President Hamid Karzai, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, and several other officials of the previous government strongly condemned the attack on Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani and his martyrdom.

Former President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai, expressed sorrow over the “martyrdom” of Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani.

Hamid Karzai stated: “I received the news with deep sorrow that, as a result of an explosion in the courtyard of the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation, the Acting Minister of this Ministry, Al-Hajj Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani, and several of our compatriots have been martyred.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar also condemned the incident, which led to the martyrdom of Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani and several of his colleagues, stating, “Qatar opposes all forms of violence, terrorism, crime, and political assassinations in Afghanistan.”

Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani, Acting Minister of Refugees and Repatriation, was martyred yesterday in an attack inside the Ministry premises.
