Presidential Palace, Arg, denies reports regarding the alleged travel ban on First Vice President General Abdul Rashid Dostum.
Haroon Chakhansori , a spokesman for the president, said on Saturday that Dostum is in Kabul and regularly goes to his job.
Chakhansori denied rumors that General Dostum was prevented from leaving the country on Friday.
Reports emerged on Friday that first vice president wanted to once again leave for Turkey due to health issues, but border police in Hamid Karzai International Air Port did let me him go abroad.
Chakhansori also touched upon the suicide attack inside a mosque in Khost province which left 27 members of Afghan National Army dead and dozens other wounded, stressing that the incident is being thoroughly investigated and those found guilty would be punished.
In addition, he said that government is fully prepared for the upcoming Geneva conference, claiming that NUG has enough achievements to garner new pledges from international community. Without further elaboration, he said government anti-corruption campaign resulted in tangible achievements.
