22 security personnel killed, 8 captured in Farah: PC member

Twenty-two security forces have been killed in Taliban attacks in western Farah province, a public representative said on Monday.
Dadullah Qane, a member of provincial council, said the Taliban stormed security check-posts in Bala Baluk, Pushtrod and Pushtkoh districts late on Sunday night.
The PC member expressed serious concern over the security situation and urged the government to dispatch more forces to the areas and launch operations against rebels.
The militants also captured eight security personnel, he added. Pajhwok tried to contact provincial authorities for comments, but failed.
Meanwhile, Taliban claimed killing 29 security personnel and capturing several others during the overnight assaults.
