The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has delivered Emergency medical aid to the ministries of foreign affairs and public health to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
The OIC ambassador delivered the first badge of anti-corona medical protection items, which would be given to hospitals by the Ministry of Public Health.
“Covid-19 pandemic aid comprising 57 boxes of protective masks, surgical masks and anti-virus clothing … has been handed over to the Ministry of Public Health,” an OIC statement said.
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, MoPH and OIC Special Envoy Ambassador Huseyin Avni Botsali were present on the occasion.
The OIC Council of Ministers’ Executive Committee recently adopted resolutions for mobilisation of emergency assistance to support member states’ campaigns to combat the pandemic.
The Islamic Solidarity Fund (ISF), an OIC subsidiary, has also delivered a first tranche of emergency financial assistance to Afghanistan.
