National Security Advisor (NSA) Hamdullah Mohib on Sunday held separate meetings with Russian and German ambassadors to Afghanistan and discussed with them the Afghan peace process, political situation and Covid-19.
A statement from the National Security Council (NSC) received by Pajhwok Afghan News said Mohib held a farewell meeting with outgoing Russian Ambassador to Afghanistan Alexander Mantytskiy.
The NSA expressed appreciation for the ambassador’s services for bilateral relations during critical times.
He said the Afghan government has been committed for the peace process and taken measures in this regard as well.
Mohib also discussed the latest political developments and efforts toward peace with Germany Ambassador to Afghanistan and discussed with him the peace process.
The statement said the two sides underscored that Afghanistan was committed to peace and would continue efforts for direct negotiations.
