Acting Minister of Defence Asadullah Khalid and NATO Commander Gen. Scott Miller have visited northern Balkh, a statement from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said on Sunday.
During the visit, the visiting dignitaries met with Shaheen Corps Commander Gen. Haibatullah Alizai of Gen. Mohammad Ali Yazdani of 217 Pamir corps and instructed them on measures for improvement of security conditions.
The Acting Minister met with ANA members in the 209 Shaheen Corps and heard about their challenges directly. He appreciated the bravery of the defense and security forces and commended them for their recent achievements.
The Minister also visited Rawza-e-Mubarak in Mazar-e-Sharif.
