Flash floods kill 11 people in Kunar

Nearly a dozen people have died as a result of flash flooding in eastern Kunar province, an official said on Saturday.
Abdul Ghani Mosamam, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News severe rains lashed Ghaziabad district on Friday noon.
He said heavy flooding in the mountain district left dead eight of a family, including women and children. Three others were washed away.
Dozens acres of farmland, crops, canals and water heads were damaged due to severe flooding. The emergency committee is assessing the losses.
Telecom services were also affected by floods in the district.
