At least 11 people have been killed and more than 10 others were wounded by “suicide bombers” attacking a Sikh area of worship in the Shorbazar area of Kabul, a security source said.
The incident began around 7:45 am local time in PD1 of Kabul city, Tariq Arian, a spokesman for Ministry of Interior.
The security source says that “three attackers are still fighting with security forces, and one is shot.”
MP Nardendar Singh Khalisa has told reporters close to the scene that up to 150 people were praying at Dharamshala.
TOLOnews reporter Sharif Amiry says that two new explosions were heard in the area.
The security forces are transferring victims of the attack by ambulance.
At least 4 people were killed and 7 others were wounded, local security officials said, adding that “the forces are clearing Dharamshala.”
Foreign troops have also responded to the attack, Amiry says.
