The Directorate of Information and Culture of Badakhshan has announced the identification and registration of 25 tourist and historical sites in more than eight districts of the province.
Officials from this directorate state that these tourist and historical sites have been identified and registered by the Ministry of Information and Culture in the districts of Shughnan, Ishkashim, Zebak, Kuran wa Munjan, Baharak, Yamgan, Warduj, and Yftal.
Sediqi Lalzad, the head of tourism for the Directorate of Information and Culture of Badakhshan, said: “They have identified, registered, and documented 25 tourist sites that are natural, historical, and cultural, and this process will continue.”
Meanwhile, a number of Badakhshan residents are urging the country’s businessmen and investors to invest in the province’s tourist sites.
Attaullah Adeeb, a resident of Badakhshan, said: “Tourists and travelers should come with complete peace of mind, visit these areas, and help the tourism culture grow in Afghanistan, especially in Badakhshan.”
Another resident of Badakhshan, Shafiqullah, said: “Invest, coordinate with traders, and this in itself is an investment for the people of Badakhshan.”
Badakhshan, with its pleasant climate, towering mountains, roaring rivers, wildlife, and historical monuments, is one of the provinces that has increasingly attracted the attention of both domestic and foreign tourists.
