Speaking to reporters at the scene, the acting Minister of Refugees and Repatriates Khalilurahman Haqqani said the process will continue in the future as well.
In the meantime, the spokesperson of the ministry Abdul Mutalib Haqqani disclosed the details saying needy people were given a-50-kg sack of rice each while expressing gratitude to China for delivering aid at a critical time.
The aid is part of China’s $31.4 million dollars announced in the past September including food, winter supplies, COVID-19 vaccines, and medicines.
The country has so far delivered 6,220 tonnes of food to war-torn Afghanistan.
Following the collapse of previous Afghanistan that led to the freezing of Afghanistan’s assets, the stoppage of foreign aid, and mass poverty; Afghanistan is now the worst humanitarian crisis on earth with over half of its 34 million population needing life-saving assistance.
