The Independent Election Commission of Afghanistan (IEC) has confirmed that a budget of $149 million has been approved for the upcoming presidential elections.
The Independent Election Commission in a statement said the relevant authorities approved the budget three days ago.
The statement further added that the government of Afghanistan will contribute $90 million to elections budget.
Furthermore, the Independent Election Commission said the international community will contribute $59 million to elections budget.
The Independent Election Commission also added that the commission is committed to holding the presidential elections on 28th of September.
