1,413 Carats of Panjshir Emeralds Sold at Auction

 An auction held in Panjshir province resulted in the sale of 1,413 carats of freshly extracted emeralds, fetching a total of $171,090.

Mawlavi Mohammad Qasim Amiri, the head of Mines and Petroleum in Panjshir, announced that the emeralds were securely packaged in nine boxes and auctioned transparently to national traders.

The auction reflects ongoing efforts to promote transparency and sustainability in the region’s mining sector, aiming to drive economic growth and benefit local communities.
