13 Daesh insurgents eliminated in Kunar airstrike

More than a dozen Daesh (Islamic State) militants have been killed as a result of an airstrike in eastern Kunar province, the army claimed on Sunday.
Foreign forces conducted the airstrike in the Badgor area of Sawakai district, the 202nd Shamshad Military Corps of the Afghan National Army said in a statement.
It added 13 Daesh militants, including commander Yaseen, were killed and some weapons and ammunition destroyed during the air raid.
Police spokesman Farid Dehqan confirmed the airstrike and casualties of Daesh militants. He said the foreign forces targeted a Daesh hideout in the area.
