10 Police Killed In Baghlan Clash

At least 10 local police officers were killed in a clash with Taliban insurgents  on Monday night in Baghlan-e-Markazi district of Baghlan province, a source from Baghlan said Tuesday.

According to the source Taliban attacked a local police check post in the Hassan Tal village of the district and as a result 10 local police officers including their commander were killed.

During the clash four Taliban insurgents were also killed and five others were wounded, the source said.

Meanwhile, Baghlan police confirm the clash but not give details regarding the casualties.

Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
