Taliban militants have allowed the resumption of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) operations in Afghanistan.
A few months back, the insurgents banned activities of the humanitarian organisation because of certain reservations.
In a statement published on its website, the rebel outfit said the restriction had been slapped on the ICRS due to some issues.
The statement said the restriction had been lifted and cooperation promised after consecutive discussions between Taliban’s political office and ICRS chiefs in Doha.
The movement called on its fighters to pave the way for ICRS activities and cooperate with it on facilitating and securing its operations.
