Paktika residents protest civilian deaths in raid

The residents of Gomal district of southeastern Paktika province have stated protest against the joint raid of foreign and Afghan forces that killed seven civilians and wounded five others.

Bangal, one of the protestors told Pajhwok Afghan News that several houses and motorcycles were destroyed besides the killing of ordinary and innocent people.

The angry protester who chanted the slogans “Death to America & Long Live Islam” claimed that US a hurdle to peace and it never wanted a peaceful Afghanistan.

Adam Khan, another protestor, said the victims of the airstrike were civilians. The protesters demanded investigation into the incident and punishment for the perpetrators.

Pajhwok tried to contact governor office for comment but failed.
