Over 100 Tankers of Substandard Fuel Rejected at Customs in Past Month

The Ministry of Finance has reported that customs authorities rejected more than 100 tankers of substandard fuel attempting to enter the country during the past month.

In a statement to Bakhtar News Agency, the ministry detailed: “The Fuel Quality Control and Monitoring Department of the Ministry of Finance, which verifies the quality of imported petroleum products according to established standards, has turned back 104 tankers of substandard fuel from the nation’s customs checkpoints during the month of Wray (May-June) of the current solar year 1404( 2025).”

The rejected shipments included:
• 73 tankers of diesel from Abu Nasr Farahi Customs in Farah province
• 26 tankers of diesel
• 5 tankers of petrol from Nimroz province customs

The Ministry of Finance has reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing strict quality controls, vowing to both facilitate the import of high-quality, standard petroleum products while rigorously preventing the entry of substandard fuels into the country.
