Afghanistan Exports $14M in Pine Nuts to Global Markets

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce reported that Afghanistan’s pine nut exports exceeded $14 million in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year, 1403 (Solar Hijri), corresponding to 2024–2025.

Spokesperson Akhundzada Abdulsalam Jawad informed Bakhtar News Agency that around 1,100 metric tons were exported to various countries, including Austria, Jordan, the UAE, China, the UK, the US, Italy, Germany, Australia, Pakistan, and Turkey.

In addition to pine nuts, Afghanistan exported fresh fruits worth approximately $143.11 million to various countries during the same period.

The exports highlight the country’s growing agricultural trade despite ongoing economic challenges.
