Reuters has cited its sources that the World Bank will finalize its decision over releasing up to USD 500 million that is planned to be given to humanitarian organizations.

The amount of money was aided to Afghanistan by the international community.

Reuters in its reports that were published on Tuesday, November 30 said that the board room of the World Bank is due to convene informally that will be aimed at resolving the ongoing problems of the Afghan people.

Sources have said that the money will be allocated to humanitarian aids in Afghanistan.

It comes as the cold winter season is approaching and millions of people in Afghanistan are awaiting some sort of aid to resist and finally survive the weather.

In the meantime, Reuters in its report said that how to deliver the money to Afghanistan is yet to be clarified as the financial organizations are afraid of US restrictions if they do so.

Reuters citing its sources said that part of the money will be allocated to Afghanistan’s health sector where only less than seven percent population has been vaccinated against COVID-19.

As per the sources, the US will not have oversight or reporting over the money once the amount arrives in Afghanistan.
