The Ministry of Education (MoE) says online school lessons via radio, television and Internet will be inaugurated soon by President Ashraf Ghani.
As a result of the coronavirus outbreak, all schools and academic centres have been closed in Afghanistan for several months now.
On May 6, Ghani inaugurated an electronic-education management system. Nooria Nazhat Nejrabi, spokesperson for MoE, said school lessons via radio and TV would start soon.
She wrote on her Facebook page: “We bring school to you house.” An alternative curriculum will be published, using different methods (science subjects to be taught via TV and social sciences through radio).
In areas where digital facilities could not be accessed, lessons will be taught through limited gatherings in accordance with guidelines from the Ministry of Public Health. It will be inaugurated by Ghani.
